RIOS-CALEDONIA RESEARCH LIBRARY

The Rios-Caledonia Research Library opened to the public on May 1, 2016. It is built around the considerable collection of books, documents and photos bequeathed to the Friends of the Adobes by local historian and educator Wally Ohles, author of "The Lands of Mission San Miguel".

The collection focuses on the history of San Miguel, Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo County, Monterey County, California, the Missions, and the Indians of the American West.

The Library also houses an extensive collection of photographs and uncatalogued materials relating to the history of the area surrounding San Miguel and the Rios-Caledonia Adobe.

Although nothing may be "checked out" to take home, the Library is open to researchers on Friday afternoons from 12:00 to 3:00 or by appointment.

Please call or come in during open hours to use the library or just to stop in and visit. We look forward to seeing you!
